There are 5 alternative ways to come to the island of Lefkada:

By car:
Lefkada is the only island which can be visited by car without ferry boats fares by using the floating bridge connecting the island with Akarnia. The distance from Athens to Lefkada island is approximately 380 km via the bridge in Rio-Antirio , about 3,5 hours . The distance from Thessaloniki to the island of Lefkada is approximately 400 km, about 2,5 hours.

By airplane:
From Spata (Athens) Eleftherios Venizelos international airport to Aktion (18km from the town of Lefkada) with direct and charter flights .It is available a bus or taxi transfer from the airport of Aktion to Lefkada which is in a 20km distance.

By private boat:
Many services are available in the marina of Lefkada : petrol, water, electricity, boat repair services, etc. Other marinas available in Nidri and Meganisi. Town quays at Marina Lefkada, Vlicho, Vassiliki, Ligia, Vathi, Poros, Sivota.

By ship:
There are daily ferryboats connecting Corfu with Igoumenitsa, with timetables which change according to the season. Large ferries depart from Patras to Italy(Bari, Brindisi, Ancona, Venice), and vice versa, usually with a stop at Igoumenitsa. Useful link: www.greekferries.gr

By bus:
